Biography
You met Ruff at The Steel Yard đŸ
Well hello there.
If youâre reading this, something interesting just happened.
You tapped your phone to my hand and ended up here.
Yes, the chip is real.
And yes, most people look at their phone and then back at my hand a few times before believing it.
Welcome to Ruffâs corner of the internet.
Youâre probably holding your phone up to my hand right now.
That never stops being funny.
Ruff in London
Atlanta may be my home base, but London has become one of the communities that feels like a second home.
And tonight weâve ended up at The Steel Yard.
Unlike the cozy pubs and drag stages scattered across Soho and Vauxhall, The Steel Yard feels like stepping into a full-scale club experience. Huge sound systems, lasers cutting through the dark, and a dance floor that seems to move as one giant organism.
When the room is packed and the bass drops, the entire place vibrates.
Which makes it a pretty perfect place for someone to discover that a random pup has a microchip in his hand.
A very Steel Yard moment
If youâve ever been here before, you know the moment.
The lights dim.
The bass kicks in.
The DJ drops something huge.
Suddenly the entire room jumps.
Hands go up, the floor starts bouncing, and for a few minutes the only thing that matters is the music.
In a room like this, scanning a microchip in someoneâs hand somehow feels completely normal.
So why does my hand scan?
Because meeting someone should be memorable.
You just scanned one of the NFC implants in my hand. Your phone briefly powered the chip and it sent you here.
No batteries.
No tracking.
Just a tiny piece of tech and a fun way to connect.
Itâs also a pretty effective way to make sure people remember meeting Ruff.
If you met me here tonight, thereâs a good chance Iâm:
- somewhere on the dance floor
- near the speakers enjoying the bass
- wandering around meeting people
- or letting people scan my hand just to watch their reaction
If we met tonight
Iâm really glad you said hello.
One of the things I love about nights like this is how easy it is for strangers to become part of the same moment â the same drop, the same song, the same wild dance floor.
Moments like this are part of that.
One last thing
If you see me again somewhere in London, come say hi.
You might spot me at the Eagle, Collared, the Welly, the RVT, or somewhere else in the city with the same chaotic pup energy.
And if someone asks how you got my contact info tonightâŠ
You already know what to tell them.
You scanned Ruff. đŸ
Next time you see me here, tap again.
The chip still works. đŸ
Tap complete. Ruff recognized. đŸ
