Biography
You met Ruff at Comptons đŸ
Well hello there.
If you’re reading this, something unusual just happened.
You tapped your phone to my hand and ended up here.
Yes, the chip is real.
And yes, most people look at their phone, then my hand, then their phone again before believing it.
Welcome to Ruffâs little corner of the internet.
Ruff in Soho
Atlanta may be home, but London has become one of the places I return to again and again.
And if Iâm in Soho, thereâs a very good chance youâll eventually find me at Comptons.
Itâs one of those bars where conversations happen easily. You might arrive knowing no one and leave having met half the room. Itâs also one of the places where Iâve met some amazing people in the London pup and leather communities.
So if we met here tonight, chances are we were:
- chatting at the bar
- meeting through mutual friends
- talking about pups, travel, or community
- or laughing while you tried to figure out how my hand just opened a website on your phone
Why does my hand scan?
Because meeting someone should be memorable.
You just scanned one of the NFC implants in my hand. Your phone briefly powered the chip and it sent you here.
No batteries.
No tracking.
Just a tiny piece of tech and a fun way to connect.
And honestly, itâs a pretty great way to make sure people remember meeting Ruff.
If we met tonight
Iâm really glad you said hello.
One of my favorite things about the queer community is how easy it is to meet people across cities and countries. A conversation in a bar can turn into friendships that span oceans.
Sometimes all it takes is a moment.
Or a slightly unusual handshake.
One last thing
If you see me again at Comptons or somewhere else in Soho, come say hi.
And if someone asks how you got my contact info tonightâŠ
You already know the answer.
You scanned my hand. đŸ
