Biography

You met Ruff at Dog Days đŸŸ

Well hello there.

If you’re reading this, something fun just happened.

You tapped your phone to my hand and ended up here.

Yes, the chip is real.
And no, your phone didn’t break.

You just scanned one of the NFC implants in my hand.

Most people look at their phone

Then look at my hand

Then look back at their phone again.

Welcome to Ruff’s corner of the internet.

Before We Go Any Further…

I’m one of the contestants in the 2026 Georgia Pet & Handler Contest taking place this weekend during Dog Days at Parliament Resort.

Thank you for taking a moment to stop by, and thank you for supporting the contestants who put themselves out there to share their stories, passions, and love for this community.

Now, back to the important question…

How did my hand just open a website on your phone?

What Is Dog Days?

Dog Days is one of the signature events hosted by the Southeast Pet Play Association (SEPA).

For a few days each year, pups, handlers, leatherfolk, kinksters, educators, titleholders, and curious newcomers gather to learn, play, connect, and celebrate the community we share.

If we met this weekend, there’s a good chance it was:

  • at a class
  • around the resort
  • at a social event
  • cheering on contestants
  • talking after a workshop
  • or while you were trying to figure out how my hand just opened a website on your phone

One of the things I love most about Dog Days is that everyone arrives with a different story.

Some people are attending their first event.

Some have been part of the community for decades.

Both belong here.

Who Is Ruff?

Ruff is the chaos corgi behind ruffthe.dog.

Part pup, part traveler, part educator, and part curious human who enjoys blurring the line between technology, identity, and connection.

You’ll usually find me:

  • teaching classes
  • mentoring newcomers
  • traveling between communities around the world
  • building weird little technology projects
  • helping people feel welcome in community spaces

Why Am I Competing?

Because this community changed my life.

What started as a personal journey eventually became something bigger: visibility, education, stewardship, and connection.

Running for Georgia Pup 2026 is my opportunity to give some of that back.

My platform is built around a simple idea:

#UnapologeticallyPuppy

Helping people feel seen, welcomed, supported, and encouraged to show up as themselves.

Why Does My Hand Scan?

Because meeting someone should be memorable.

The implant you scanned is a tiny NFC chip in my hand. Your phone briefly powered it and sent you to this page.

No batteries.
No tracking.
No secret chaos-corgi operating system.

Just a little piece of technology and a fun way to connect.

Every tap represents a moment of connection.

And communities are built one interaction at a time.

One Last Thing

Whether you’re competing, volunteering, teaching, attending your first event, or reconnecting with old friends, thank you for being part of this community.

Dog Days is about connection.

The Georgia Pet & Handler Contest is about service, visibility, education, and leadership.

Both are reminders that communities are built by people who show up for one another.

I’m glad our paths crossed this weekend.

And if someone asks how you got my contact info

You already know what to tell them.

You scanned my hand. đŸŸ
